The founder

Afrophilia Agasna

Founder & Principal

Afrophilia Agasna is an Advocate of the High Court and a specialist in AI governance and data protection law with practice across multiple jurisdictions.

She is one of a small number of practitioners in Africa with hands-on, cross-border experience building legal and governance frameworks for AI-driven projects from the ground up — not as a theoretical exercise, but inside live programmes with real data, real obligations, and real consequences.

Track record

Consortiums

Health and research consortiums, managing full AI governance and data protection compliance for multi-party projects, including obligations to data subjects, independent review boards, data protection agencies, and international funders.

Funders

Funder sandpits, consulting directly for major foundations reviewing and mentoring selected projects on AI readiness before field deployment.

Institutions

Teaching and curriculum design, co-creating course materials and governance frameworks for academic institutions entering the responsible AI space.

All three came through reputation, not outreach. Azora Advisory is being built to match the scale of the opportunity.

Let's build governance in from the start.
